The Effects of Social Support, School Life Adaptation and Career Decision-Making Autonomy on the Career Preparation Behavior of Middle and High School Students

Abstract
This study examines the influence of social support, school life adaption, and career decision-making autonomy on career preparation behaviors as well as the mediating effects of school life adaption and career decision-making self-efficacy. Participants included 851 middle school and 583 high school students from the Eunpyeong district. Descriptive statistics and regression analysis were employed to investigate the collected data and yielded the following results: Social support, school life adaption and career decision-making self-efficacy directly impact career preparation behavior. In addition, social support mediates both career decision-making self-efficacy and adaptation to school life thus directly impacting career preparation.
